If you’re lucky enough to be heading off to Royal Ascot or another horse race, you may be wondering what clothing and jewellery is acceptable.

That’s because Royal Ascot has imposed a strict dress code on this year’s event with fashion police on hand to give out pashminas to those who have not stuck to it!

For example, bare shoulders, bare heads and short hemlines have been banned.

Those in the Royal enclosure have to wear skirts or dresses that are no higher than the knee, while hats must have a four-inch diameter at least.

For those in the less formal grandstand, ladies must wear a hat or fascinator while gents cannot forget their ties.

You can also take inspiration in terms of clothes and accessories from a number of British celebrities that have attended the races.

Ladies designer watches have proved popular among the famous faces at Royal Ascot this year.

Newlywed Danielle Lloyd donned a knee-length pink dress teamed with a pink hat, black clutch bag and a silver ladies designer watch.

She also accessorised with a thin white gold bracelet.

Fellow Wag Danielle Lineker followed suit in terms of rocking a ladies designer watch. Her selection was a gold timepiece, which perfectly complemented her monochrome gown.

Meanwhile, reality TV star Lydia Bright selected a metallic ladies designer watch to match her fitted red dress teamed with a large red fascinator and nude heels.

Bernie Ecclestone’s daughter Tamara also showed how to rock a ladies designer watch from the comfort of her own private box.

She wore a white lace dress with black heels, an oversized ring and dozens of chunky bracelets on one arm.

Britain’s Got Talent judge Amanda Holden looked pretty in florals thanks to her choice of a cream peplum dress complete with giant bow.

She went without a ladies designer watch to wear a chunky cream bracelet instead.

The mother-of-two also accessorised with a gold pendant and looked stunning for doing so!
