X Factor judging panellist and N-Dubz singer Tulisa Contostavlos defied the temptation to overdress at this year’s final as she kept it simple in a midnight blue gown and subtle diamond earrings.
The singer, who dubbed herself ‘the female boss’, looked stunning as she made her way to the live finals that later saw her group act Little Mix take the grand prize.
Her strapless dress was complemented by slick black heels, dark flowing tresses and a rub of bright pink lipstick.
The real gem, however, had to have been the diamond earrings as they epitomised her efforts to remain modest in an otherwise unruly night of events.
According to the Daily Mail, the 23-year-old has sparked rumours she might team up with her winning act to release a song sometime in the future.
She told spin-off show the Xtra Factor: “There’s been talks but I’m not one hundred per cent. I would love to do this and when I release my album we might re-record that as a single and put it on.”
The song in question is a mix of Alicia Keys’ Empire State of Mind and If I ain’t Got You, which the girl group and Tulisa performed together for the finals.
