The Queen and the Duchess of Cambridge both looked stunning today (March 8th) as they set off for the beginning of the Diamond Jubilee tour.
Taking a train from London’s St Pancras station to the city of Leicester, the royal pair looked absolutely radiant in their feminine suits and elegant jewellery.
The Queen looked particularly dashing in a pink cashmere dress with a matching jacket and hat that featured black lining.
Wearing a striking brooch on her chest, the Queen looked cheerful in a pearl necklace with matching stud earrings as she met with hoards of people who came out to view the royals.
Kate Middleton appeared to have been taken firmly under the Queen’s wings too as she sat comfortably with her during an outdoor ceremony at Leicester’s Clock Tower.
Smilingly elegantly for onlookers and dressed as stunningly as ever, the Duchess wore a dark 1940s-inspired suit that saw her pair a pencil skirt with a fitted jacket and diamond earrings.
The Diamond Jubilee celebrates the Queen’s 60 years in the royal role as she first took to the throne on February 6th 1952, although her coronation was not held until the summer of ’53.
