The Duchess of Cambridge wowed onlookers at London’s Leicester Square last night (January 8th) as she attended her first royal film premiere in diamond jewellery.

Kate Middleton’s elegant wrist was dressed in a diamond bracelet that glistened as she made her way down the red carpet accompanied by Prince William, who sheltered them with an umbrella.

It marked the eve of the Duchess’s 30th birthday, which she is believed to be celebrating in a low-key manner with friends and family later today.

The premiere was for Steven Spielberg’s latest movie, War Horse, which traces the relationship between a young man and his horse during the First World War

Spielberg said of the royal couple: “It’s a very prestigious honour because they represent an entirely new era in British royalty that has the entire world excited.”

Middleton’s accessorising extended to her ears, were diamond earrings dangled, not to mention her black stone engagement ring, which decorated her ring finger.

War Horse hits UK cinema screens from January 13th.
