Former popstress Kerry Katona has rebounded from a tumultuous four years of hardship and personal dramas to prove she still has the right attitude to succeed in life.
Wearing a silver necklace during her appearance on ITV’s Daybreak, the ex-Atomic Kitten singer admitted that she was on a downward spiral in 2008, during which time she was battling bipolar disorder, as well as alcohol and drug addictions.
The star became teary-eyed as she watched footage of her This Morning appearance from four years ago, in which she slurred her words and was borderline rude to presenters Philip Schofield and Fern Britton.
She told Daybreak: “I look at the likes of Amy Winehouse, God rest her soul, and I found the strength to get out of the mess I was in.
“I have four beautifully healthy children, my career’s going from strength to strength and I’, happy and healthy an on top form.”
Born in Cheshire in 1980, Katona has appeared in a string of reality TV shows including Celebrity Big Brother, Dancing on Ice and Karry Katona: The Next Chapter.
