The smiling cast of US musical sitcom Glee graced the red carpet of the Screen Actors Guild (SAG) Awards in stunning ensembles to rival their onscreen personas for last night’s (January 29th) prize-giving ceremony.
Stepping into the spotlight was 25-year-old Lea Michele, better recognised as her character Rachel, who is typically portrayed as overbearing, overconfident and something of a busy-body.
However, she shook this conservative image to reveal a stunning look that was highlighted by her thigh-high slit silver frock, diamond bracelets and dark flowing locks.
The actress turned from her geeky high-school style depicted in the show to bear a little flesh that added to her flirtatious approach that may have had co-stars Darren Criss and Kevin McHale swooning.
Meanwhile Naya Rivera, who plays lesbian cheerleader Santana, rivalled her Glee cast member in a figure-hugging silver dress with a low-slung v-neck, silver ring and tumbling tresses.
The star’s shoes were hidden by the full-length gown, while her toned curves proved she was determined to keep in shape for the awards season.
It seems Rivera enjoyed the night too, despite Glee failing to make headline trophy taking.
She tweeted: “The SAG awards were amazing as usual. Such an inspiring night!!”
Naya’s onscreen love interest Brittany, played by Heather Morris, lived up to the glamorous standard set by her co-stars.
Morris took to the carpet smiling and posing for photographers in an en vogue black midi-length dress with a trailing veil that brushed behind her legs.
While large dangling diamond earrings hung from her lobes, a thick diamond bracelet was wrapped around her wrist, which perfectly complemented her dark look.
She topped the off look with curly blonde locks which were half pinned up, while high silver heels gave her tall and sophisticated look, in contrast to Brittany’s ditzy personality.
Glee is set for a shake-up next season as a new cast has been enlisted to stomp its way to future success.
