The Duchess of Cambridge spent Valentine’s Day embracing the true meaning of love by extending a hand to charitable causes in Liverpool.

Despite the fact the Prince is currently in the Falklands, Kate Middleton did not appear to have missed her husband as she greeted onlookers on a crowded street in Liverpool before visiting a number of charities.

The 30-year-old lived up to her glamorous self in a knee-length belted brown overcoat, modest black heels and diamond earrings.

Her jewellery highlight was however her engagement ring, which once belonged to the late Princess of Wales, Diana.

The diamond ring sparkled on her wedding finger and was perfectly displayed when the royal brushed her long brunette locks from her face.

Ever the face of humility and grace, Kate maintained her admirable demeanour as she arrived at her first stop, The Brink, which is an alcohol-free bar on the city’s Parr Street.

Profits made by the venue are injected back into the community to support those affected by alcoholism and addiction.
