The Duchess of Cambridge caused quite a stir when she took to the Olympic astro-turf pitch in Stratford to play among Britain’s national GB hockey team this morning (March 15th).
Kate Middleton revived her love for the sport after requesting to meet the team, whom she will champion as part of her role as an ambassador for the London 2012 Olympics and Paralympics.
The 30-year-old looked appropriately attired for the occasion too, sporting a pair of trainers, red jogging bottoms, a grey hoody and diamond earrings.
Pictures of the royal showed her smiling and laughing as she struck the ball in what was evidently a light-hearted and fun event for attendees.
Middleton is no stranger to the game, as she once captained the first 11 at Marlborough College in junior school.
Kate met with both the women’s and men’s GB hockey teams, who are no doubt preparing for the competition, which kicks off on July 27th.
