She was the sassy straight-talking lawyer Miranda Hobbes in the hugely successful Sex and the City franchise, but it seems Cynthia Nixon takes a less glamorous approach to her real-life.
Getting out and about in New York yesterday (March 22nd), the actress looked in stark contrast to son Max as he sported flame-haired curls that served to make Nixon’s new bald head more striking.
The 45-year-old was snapped looking less than enthused as she roamed the fashion capital in a simple black ensemble consisting of trousers and a t-shirt.
With her son strapped tightly to her chest, the only symbol of the Hollywood star’s excesses was a diamond ring to signify her engagement to partner Christine Marinoni.
Cynthia recently came under fire for comments she made to the New York Times earlier this year in which she suggested her being gay was a “choice”.
Responding to criticism, she said: “I say it doesn’t matter if we [the LGBT community] flew here or we swam here, it matters that we are here and we are on group.”
