The ladies attending the Laurence Olivier Awards in London showed that to make an impact, it does not mean you have to sport big jewellery.
The awards is one of the biggest nights in the British theatre calendar and sees the best stage productions of the last year awarded.
Taking to the red carpet ahead of the awards, Kara Tointon showcased the height of chic style by wearing a slim-fitting flapper dress, embellished with black sequins arranged into fan shapes across her gown.
With her hair styled into classic pin curls, Tointon accessorised with just a pair of tear drop-shaped silver earrings and a silver bracelet on her left wrist.
Tointon was not the only one who kept her jewellery to a minimum, with Hayley Atwell adding just a pair of long silver earrings, a thin silver bracelet and a ring to her stunning nude floorlength dress and a small silver clutch bag.
Ruth Wilson, who saw victory during the ceremony when she picked up the best actress award for her eponymous role in the play Anna Christie, chose to accessorise her black floral prom dress with just a wide cuff bracelet on her left wrist and a silver slide in her hair.
Some of the ladies let their dresses do the talking instead of adding big statement jewellery, with All New People star Susannah Fielding choosing the wear just a simple diamond pendant and stud earrings to go with her stunning red dress, which had been slashed to the thigh.
However, some of the attendees brought a splash of colour to the outfits, with veteran performer Elaine Page wearing long earrings with red and green stones and a vibrant red statement ring to co-ordinate with the embellishment on the shoulders of her blue dress.
