Adele arrived at last night’s (February 12th) Grammy Awards show in a spellbinding ensemble to pick up a staggering six gongs.
The stunning vocalist posed for photographers ahead of the ceremony in a sparkling black dress and silver earrings, completely unaware of the success she was about to achieve.
With her blonde tresses curled in a shoulder-length bob hairdo, the singer was struck by the revelation after revelation that she was not only the winner of best pop solo performance for Someone Like You, but also picked up nods for song of the year, record of the year and best pop vocal album, among other Grammy Awards.
Unsurprisingly, the 23-year-old became over-whelmed by the recognition, and was no doubt impacted by news of the sudden death of r’n’b diva, Whitney Houston.
While tears trickled down Adele’s face at one point during an acceptance speech, Houston’s contribution to music was also remembered by attendees and hosts of the Grammy Awards show, who all played tribute to the late singer.
